About Kelab Sejahtera (KS)

Sejahtera Club is a co-curricular education initiative led by RCE Penang and facilitated by primary and secondary schools, which has been created with the aim of developing students’ leadership capabilities in ESD. The clubs take place at schools in the afternoons and are focused on the development of third order skills. RCE Penang provides 1-1 support and guidance to schools and teachers to develop ESD projects and resources for the clubs.

Visit by RCE Penang@USM to Sejahtera Schools Club

July 20, 2017 – RCE Penang@USM recently visited schools which are members of the Sejahtera Club. Currently, seven schools in Penang are registered as members of the Sejahtera Club. They are SK Convent Green Lane, SK Minden Height, SR Al-Itqan, SM Al-Itqan, SMK Tinggi Bukit Mertajam, Sek Men Sains Tun Syed Sheh Shahbudin and SMK Penang Free, with the visits conducted from 10 July 2017 to 20 July 2017. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss, coordinate and align plans and activities to be organised by RCE Penang and the schools. Other than that, the visit was also aimed at strengthening the network between RCE Penang and the schools so that all the activities organized would be beneficial to all, in relation to the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) agenda.
