About Regional Sejahtera ESD Netwok (RSEN)

The Regional Sejahtera Education for Sustainable Development Network (RSEN) is a dynamic network of local and regional stakeholders in Penang engaged in collaborative undertakings such as research and development in key thematic areas of ESD.  RSEN was launched in May 2014 and currently counts with more than 40 (educational institutions, local government agencies and non-governmental organisations). RSEN has a Council of Members that meet at least once a year to discuss strategic priorities and activities.

Overseas Training Course in collaboration with Japan Malaysia Association and Environmental Restoration Conservation Agency (ERCA) Japan

The training was a collaboration between RCE Penang and one of our RSEN members, Japan Malaysia Association (JMA) which was funded by ERCA, Japan. The objectives of the program were to strengthen the partnership between RCE Penang and JMA through various activities related to Education for Sustainable Development and to expose the students to the learning platform that is close to nature. The program was held from 23rd August 2016 to 29th August 2016. The activities were run at several places namely USM Main Campus, Penang Heritage Trust, Seberang Perai Municipal Council and Pusat Eko-Pelajaran Hutan Paya Laut Matang, Kuala Sepetang, Taiping, Perak.
