About Regional Sejahtera ESD Netwok (RSEN)

RSEN small size

The Regional Sejahtera Education for Sustainable Development Network (RSEN) is a dynamic network of local and regional stakeholders in Penang engaged in collaborative undertakings such as research and development in key thematic areas of ESD.  RSEN was launched in May 2014 and currently counts with more than 40 (educational institutions, local government agencies and non-governmental organisations). RSEN has a Council of Members that meet at least once a year to discuss strategic priorities and activities.

Field Trip - RCE Penang with Japan Malaysia Association (JMA) to Sungai Merbok Mangrove Forest

In May 2017, RCE Penang in collaboration with Japan Malaysia Association, Japan held a field trip to Sungai Merbok Mangrove Forest. The purpose of the site visit was to obtain in-depth information regarding Education for Sustainable Development activities that can be done such as replanting the mangrove activities at Merbok forest. JMA plans to bring students from Japan and expose their students with such beneficial activities.
